INSPIRATION FROM OTHERS

My class theme this month was making cards with scraps. The brief was to use the displayed cards that I'd made as inspiration, then make as many cards as you like during the session, using only the scraps and ready cut card bases on the table!

This is quite a challenge for us crafters because we've usually got a lot of stuff that we can use in a project, so having a limit on materials can be difficult. I also limited the used of tools like stamp sets, punches, embossing folders and die cuts. The results were stunning! Here's a few of the projects I managed to photograph before the were whisked away by their makers! Unfortunately I didn't photograph everyone's projects, so if you're reading this and don't see your project here, please send me a photo and I will add it in!

Great use of scraps & a lovely combination of colour & sparkle by Gayle. Your Mum will love it Gayle!

I love the combination of patterns in this one. They compliment each other so well. Not to mention that gorgeous green....you guessed who made it? Gayle of course :)

The embossed lines on these cards really add a wow factor.

Sticking to one colour of ink and cardstock really makes a statement. Love this stamp from Flowing Flowers.

This is lovely with its Polished Pink & Calypso Coral stamped flowers. Such a pretty wedding card.

Well it goes without saying that I love the colours in this card - Night of Navy is one of my absolute favourites and I love the way Carole used the Designer Series Paper to really show off the patterns. That little bit of bling from the copper stars is really eye catching too. And a Crumb Cake card base? LOVE!

Aren't they great? I love to have classes where we can run away with our creative genius!
