MOTHER'S DAY IS COMING - 8 MAY 2022

Are you getting ready for Mother's Day? I sell quite a lot of cards for MD, and I really enjoy making them each year. Sadly, my lovely mum is no longer here, but I have beautiful memories of the Mother's Days we shared and especially those when I became a mum too.

I've been playing with Very Versailles this week because it retires soon (30 April) and I want to make the most of it!

Today's card is quite detailed with a couple of extra layers and some dry embossing. I'm enjoying putting the new In Colors together - Sweet Sorbet, Parakeet Party and Orchid Oasis used here.

Do you like that deep embossed pattern? It's made using the Bouquet of Love Hybrid Embossing folder, Item #157642 in the Jan-Jun 2022 Mini Catalogue. So luxe!

To get some depth in the stamping without changing colour, I inked up the script stamp in Orchid Oasis, stamped off (on a piece of scrap) then stamped again on the Basic White layer without reinking. This effect is also great when you want to stamp something else over the top, like the leaves and decorative border stamp.
